Ingredients
Scale
For the Casserole
- 2 cans (12.4 oz each) Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls
- 1 can (20 oz) apples, chopped into small bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
For Serving
- Glaze from cinnamon rolls (included in the cans)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375˚F to prepare for baking the casserole.
- Prepare Ingredients: Chop each cinnamon roll into 6 to 8 pieces. Open the can of apples and chop them into small, bite-sized pieces to evenly distribute throughout the casserole.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the chopped cinnamon rolls, apples, melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix thoroughly until the cinnamon rolls are well coated with the apple mixture.
- Assemble Casserole: Spray a large casserole dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Pour the combined mixture into the dish and spread it out evenly.
- Bake: Place the casserole dish on the middle rack of the preheated oven. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until the casserole is cooked through and the top is golden brown.
- Add Glaze and Serve: Once baked, drizzle the included glaze from the cinnamon roll cans over the casserole. Serve warm and enjoy your apple fritter breakfast casserole!
Notes
- Make sure to evenly chop the cinnamon rolls and apples for consistent baking.
- If preferred, use fresh apples instead of canned for a less sweet option.
- Cooking times may vary depending on your oven, so check for a golden brown top and cooked-through texture.
- This casserole can be prepared the night before and baked fresh in the morning.
- For added texture, consider sprinkling chopped nuts or oats before baking.
