Ingredients
Scale
Meat and Cheese
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Vegetables
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup dill pickles, chopped
Condiments and Seasonings
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Others
- 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch tortillas preferred)
- Cooking oil or spray, as needed for greasing
Instructions
- Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a small amount of cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until fully browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Season the Beef: Drain any excess fat from the skillet. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to allow the spices to blend well with the beef.
- Mix the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked and seasoned beef with shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, diced onions, and chopped dill pickles. Add mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard, then stir thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Warm the Tortillas: To make the tortillas pliable and easy to roll, warm them in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds.
- Assemble the Burritos: Spoon approximately one-quarter of the cheeseburger filling onto the center of each tortilla. Fold the sides inward and then roll from the bottom to completely encase the filling.
- Optional – Grill the Burritos: For a crispy exterior, place the burritos seam-side down in a lightly greased skillet over medium heat. Grill each side for 1-2 minutes until golden brown and slightly crunchy.
- Serve: Serve the cheeseburger burritos warm with extra ketchup, mustard, or your choice of dipping sauces.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef for a less greasy filling.
- To make this recipe gluten free, substitute the flour tortillas with gluten-free tortillas.
- Grilling the burritos is optional but adds extra flavor and crunch.
- Leftover filling can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Add pickled jalapeños for a spicy kick.
