Ingredients

Scale

Cocktail Ingredients

  • 1 cup cherry 7UP
  • 4 tbsp cranberry syrup (recipe below)
  • Cold Ogio Prosecco to top off each glass
  • 12 fresh cranberries, divided into 4 sets of 3
  • 4 toothpicks

Cranberry Syrup

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 cup cherry 7UP
  • 1/8 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Make Cranberry Syrup: Add 2 cups of fresh cranberries, 1/4 cup cherry 7UP, and 1/8 cup sugar into a small pot. Cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes until the mixture reduces and thickens. Strain the liquid into a separate container to obtain a smooth cranberry syrup suitable for cocktails. Reserve the remaining cranberry chutney as an appetizer if desired. Allow the syrup to cool completely for at least 15 minutes before using.
  2. Prepare the Cocktail: In a mixing cup, combine 1 cup cherry 7UP with 4 tablespoons of the cooled cranberry syrup. Stir gently to blend the flavors. Divide the mixture evenly among 4 champagne glasses.
  3. Top with Prosecco: Carefully top each glass with cold Ogio Prosecco to add effervescence and a crisp finish to the cocktail.
  4. Garnish: Thread 3 fresh cranberries onto each toothpick and place it on the rim of each glass to garnish and enhance the drink’s visual appeal.

Notes

  • For a stronger cranberry flavor, adjust the amount of cranberry syrup to taste.
  • The cranberry chutney left after straining can be served as a tangy appetizer or condiment.
  • Ensure the cranberry syrup is fully cooled before mixing with carbonated drinks to maintain fizz.
  • Chill the Prosecco and 7UP beforehand for a refreshingly cold cocktail.
  • Fresh cranberries can be swapped with frozen if fresh are unavailable, but thaw and drain before use.
