Ingredients
Scale
Whipped Feta Dip
- 8 ounce block feta cheese
- 3/4 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons honey (plus more for drizzle)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (plus more for drizzle)
- 8 basil leaves, chopped
Roasted Tomato Topping (optional)
- 4 ounces cherry tomatoes
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Prepare the whipped feta dip: In a food processor, combine the feta cheese, Greek yogurt, honey, and lemon juice. Blend on high or use the puree setting until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
- Transfer and style the dip: Use a spatula to scrape the whipped feta onto a shallow dish or plate. Smooth the surface, then create a swirl or ridges on top for a decorative look. Drizzle olive oil and honey delicately along the ridges for extra flavor and gloss.
- Garnish the dip: Sprinkle freshly chopped basil leaves over the top to add a burst of color and fresh herb aroma. Serve immediately with your choice of chips or fresh veggies.
- Optional – Prepare the roasted tomato topping: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a small baking dish, combine cherry tomatoes and minced garlic. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over them and stir gently to coat evenly.
- Roast the tomatoes: Place the baking dish into the preheated oven and bake for 8 to 12 minutes, or until the cherry tomatoes begin to burst and release their juices.
- Top the dip with roasted tomatoes: Using a spoon, carefully place the warm roasted tomatoes and garlic over the whipped feta dip just before serving for a flavorful and visually appealing finish.
