Ingredients
Scale
Banana Mixture
- 3 Bananas
- 40 grams Butter
- 1 Egg
Dry Ingredients
- 140 grams All-Purpose Flour
- 50 grams Granulated Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
For Baking
- 10 grams Butter (for greasing)
Instructions
- Prepare Bananas: Peel 3 bananas. Mash 2½ bananas thoroughly with a fork in a bowl and set aside the remaining half banana for topping later.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: Add 40 grams of butter and 1 egg to the mashed bananas. Mix thoroughly to combine into a smooth wet batter.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together 140 grams all-purpose flour, 50 grams granulated sugar, 1 pinch salt, and 1 teaspoon baking soda until evenly distributed.
- Mix Dry into Wet: Pour the dry ingredients into the banana and butter mixture. Use a fork or spatula to gently mix everything together until you achieve a uniform, wet batter.
- Prepare Baking Accessory: Grease the bottom and sides of the Philips baking accessory with 10 grams of butter. Lightly dust with flour to prevent sticking. Pour in the banana bread batter. Slice the reserved half banana lengthwise and place both halves on top of the batter for decoration and extra flavor.
- Air Fry: Place the baking accessory into the air fryer basket. Insert the basket into the air fryer and set to 325°F (160°C). Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Rest and Serve: After cooking, cover the banana bread with a kitchen towel to keep it moist as it cools. Once cooled slightly, slice and serve.
Notes
- Ensure bananas are ripe for maximum sweetness and moisture.
- Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread tender.
- Using an air fryer significantly reduces baking time compared to a traditional oven.
- You can substitute all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour for a healthier variation.
- Store leftover banana bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
