Celebrate New Year’s Eve with these festive and fun pretzel rods dipped in creamy white chocolate and decorated with shimmering gold and silver sprinkles or drizzled with black candy melts. Perfect for holiday parties or as a delightful treat to welcome the new year in style.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Coating

  • 10 oz. Ghirardelli white chocolate melting wafers
  • 1/3 cup black candy melts (Sweet Tooth Fairy)

Base

  • 9 Snyder’s pretzel rods

Decorations

  • 1 teaspoon gold and silver star sprinkles
  • 1/2 teaspoon edible gold glitter

Instructions

  1. Melt White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate melting wafers according to the package instructions until smooth and creamy.
  2. Dip Pretzels: Cover one end of each pretzel rod with melted white chocolate by scooping some over with a spoon and rolling the pretzel rod to coat evenly.
  3. Remove Excess Chocolate: Lightly tap the side of each pretzel rod to remove excess chocolate, then place the coated pretzel rods on a sheet of parchment paper to set.
  4. Add Sprinkles: Quickly sprinkle gold and silver star sprinkles and edible gold glitter over three of the pretzels while the chocolate is still wet to ensure the decorations stick.
  5. Melt Black Candy Melts: Melt the black candy melts following the package directions until smooth.
  6. Drizzle Black Chocolate: Drizzle the melted black candy over three more pretzel rods, then allow them to dry completely on parchment paper.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Once chocolate and decorations have set, serve these festive pretzel rods as a fun and delicious treat for your New Year’s Eve celebration.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking while chocolate sets.
  • Work quickly when applying sprinkles to ensure they adhere properly.
  • Store prepared pretzel rods in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • For extra sparkle, additional edible glitter can be added after drizzling black candy melts.
